The owner-operators of the Vermilion County McDonald’s restaurants have donated $25,800 to the City of Danville to help cover the costs of police overtime this summer.
Danville Police Commander Christopher Yates says the gift is going to have a huge impact in efforts to address violence….
The gift will pay for 160 hours of overtime each month for three months for Danville Police. It comes at a time when police are coping with a rash of violence…including three recent homicides.
