A busy three fire Wednesday morning for the Danville Fire Department, two houses a total loss. The first alarm, 5:27 AM at 1712 Deerwood, was a garbage in the garage fire; no major damage, no one hurt.
The second alarm, at 5:50 AM, was an unoccupied house at 126 North Beard. The fire department was there over two hours, and house is completely destroyed. The fire department says this is definitely suspicious, as this is the fourth fire at that location in the last year.
The third alarm, at 9:47 AM, was an accidental fire at 707 West Seminary. The occupant was not home when the fire began. But the occupant returned home, called 9-1-1, went inside in an attempt to save things, and was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation. Two fire fighters were sent by ambulance to the hospital after the ceiling fell in on them. They were treated and released. Fire fighters were on the scene over three hours, and that house is destroyed as well.
