Danville Police say a third person has been arrested in connection with the murder of a man in April. Police say the US Marshal’s Task Force arrested 22-year-old Tavares A. Mitchell in the Chicago area. Mitchell was arrested on a warrant charging aggravated battery and mob action stemming from the shooting death of 25-year-old Roosevelt Anderson Jr. Mitchell’s bond was set at $100,000.
Officers found Anderson lying in the roadway in the 900 block of Redden Court on April 24th, 2019. Anderson had been shot in the head and died the next day.
Since the shooting police have announced the arrests of 26-year-old Percy L. Freeman and 21-year-old Denzel R. Aldridge in connection with Anderson’s death. Both Freeman and Aldridge were charged in the case earlier.
