Works of art submitted by high school students throughout Congresswoman Mary Millers district were on display Tuesday at the Danville Area Community College Student Union. Judges determined the winner to be Gage Atteberry from Carmi, IL for his work entitled “Petrification.” , Atteberry’s artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for one year, with all the other Congressional District winners.
But as Congresswoman Miller’s Deputy District Director Sallie Nyhan Davis explains, there will be another winner chosen by the people.
AUDIO: These will all be posted on the congresswoman’s official website, and people will do a “people’s choice” award. And so we’ll have two winners.
