With the Danville Dans Prospect League home opener at Danville Stadium coming up this coming Wednesday June 1st, public address announcer Tom Fricke joined Tommy B on D102’s “The Big Show.” And one thing Fricke mentioned was, turn on the television right now, and you’ll find three former Dans playing in the Major Leagues.
AUDIO: Ben Bremer’s with the Baltimore Orioles; I had the chance to listen to the game a couple weeks ago when he was pitching against the Cardinals. Austin Nola is with the San Diego Padres. And or course Alfonso Rivas is tearing it up with the Chicago Cubs this year.
And if you watch a lot of college baseball, there’s a big name on the Dans staff this year.

Coach Polk has a storied history in baseball, college coaching; many years at Mississippi State. He is considered the godfather of SEC baseball.
