Up until June 10th, Vermilion County Board candidate Conner Gilonske and State Senate Candidate Maria Vasquez will continue to college items for their countywide supply drive for homeless shelters in Vermilion County.
Gilonske says the response has been strong since the campaign began May 27th. He says that soon they will be deciding upon the recipient of the donations.
AUDIO: We have not yet decided on the specific shelter we are donating to, but we are hoping to get enough supplies that we can possibly donate to multiple shelters.
Supplies being accepted include clothing, shoes, bed linens, and toiletries. Items can be dropped off during business hours at the United Way office in Danville, 425 N Gilbert St; Hager Law Firm in Danville, 917 N Walnut St; and Hoopeston City Hall at 301 West Main.
