The Covington Community Foundation has awarded some grants that will benefit Covington’s Summer Park Program and Covington Youth Baseball Program. A grant for $4,000 has been awarded by the Foundation to the annual four-week Covington Summer Park Program. And the Covington Community Foundation has awarded over $2,600 to the Covington Youth Baseball Program.
‘’Summer camp is important because it offers a structured opportunity for children to grow,’’ said Dale White, CEO of the Covington Community Foundation. He adds the Foundation ‘’considers it a privilege to partner with the Covington Youth Baseball Program. They have deep roots in the community and served thousands of youth for over 65 years.’’ The program has been serving Covington youth since 1952.
