The Danville VFW is looking for some additional foursomes for their second annual golf outing at Harrison Park. It all begins with registration at 8:30 AM Saturday, July 16th, and a shotgun start at nine.
VFW Junior Vice Jason Wills explains that funds from this year’s event will be used in a 50-50 way.
AUDIO: Half of the money we raise is going to stay in the club to help us keep it going, and to do some repairs that we need; and the other half is going to the Mission K-9 Warriors.
The Mission K-9 Warriors is out of Georgetown American Legion Post 203, as dogs are trained to be service dogs for Veterans who need them. Cost for the golf outing is $240 per foursome, or $60 per individual. Just call Harrison Park at 217-431-2266, and let them know you’d like to play in the Veterans of Foreign Wars outing on July 16th. Lunch will be provided for the golfers afterwards, at the Danville VFW at 8 Pine Street.
