The Vermilion County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that 19-year-old Dylan Clark of Franklin, Indiana is in custody and awaiting extradition to Vermilion County after allegedly driving to Georgetown, picking up an 11-year-old girl he had been communicating with online, and taking her across the state line to his residence.
Vermilion County deputies first responded on Saturday to reports of a missing 11-year-old Georgetown girl. They learned during the investigation that she had been communicating online with Clark, and Vermilion County deputies contacted the Johnson County, Indiana Sheriff’s Office; who were able to locate the missing girl at Clark’s residence.
This case continues to be under investigation by the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI.
