It’s nine down and three to go for First Fridays events in Downtown Danville for the year 2022. Danville Community Relations Administrator Ashton Greer says this past Friday evening’s Artisan Table and Market went over very well.
AUDIO: We ended up selling a little over 130 tickets to the dinner. The food was delicious, and the Artisan market was just lovely; the music was nice. I think everybody had a really good time.
The next First Friday’s event, on October 7th, will feature a double-header. First, a special trick-or-treating event will run from 6 to 9 PM. It will feature black lights, and it’s meant to be healthy. Then, starting perhaps around 8 PM or so, it’s another PITCH meeting at the Fischer Theatre, where local talent can show their stuff.
AUDIO: And the theme of this event is a healthy trick-or-treat. So we’re not going to do candy. So it will be a downtown trick-or-treating with black lights; and it will be no candy allowed. And then that evening we’re partnering up with the Fischer Theatre to offer a PITCH meeting concert to the public.
And by the way, the cost of admission to the PITCH meeting this time around will be just five dollars. Just a reminder that the November First Fridays event will be another Potterfest, and in December it will be the Night of Lights Parade.
