News story here.
Danville Community Relations Administrator Ashton Greer and Fischer Theatre Executive Director Jason Rome recently joined Tommy B on D102’s The Big Show to talk about this Friday evening’s First Fridays double-header. From 6 to 8 PM it’s the healthy trick-or-treating black light event; which, as Ashton Greer reminds us, will be a night of healthy trick-or-treating, fun stops along the way, and amazing lighting.
AUDIO: And every stop that you visit you’ll have an activity or a healthy snack, or maybe a craft or something that the kids can do. We’ll be painting pumpkins; there will be temporary tattoo stations. And it’s also going to be a black light trick-or-treating. So all the lights downtown will be off for two hours, and we’ll have black lights at each of your stops.

Then at 8 PM, another Pitch Meeting concert at the Fischer. As Jason Rome reminds us, these are top notch musicians looking for local singing and songwriting talent. They’d love the chance to perform something you wrote. And they’ll bring some people they’ve helped in the past.

AUDIO: And then they will improv an entire tune with somebody on stage. So when they come to Danville they bring some of their own folks who have gone through their songwriter nights and really gotten some traction in Nashville. They’ll bring them and showcase them.
And don’t forget, after this the next First Fridays event in Downtown Danville, November 4th, will be the return of Potterfest.
