THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE AREA COMMUNITY COLLEGE RELEASE
Danville Area Community College’s Office of Student Engagement has planned a week of entertaining and creative activities to celebrate the “Spooky” season and remind students that now is the time to register for Spring classes and complete federal financial aid forms for next year. Spirit Week will run from Wednesday, October 26 through Wednesday, November 2, 2022.

ONGOING EVENTS
● Staff Door Decorating Contest – Look for decorated doors between Oct. 24-31. Vote for your favorite on Monday, Oct. 31.
● Hidden Mick Contest – Search for the hidden Mick Jaguars around campus. Take a picture with each one. Leave the Mick for the next person.
● Pumpkin Decorating Contest – Pick up your pumpkin on Thurs., Oct. 27 from 12-2pm at LH-109. Completed pumpkins due Monday, Oct. 31 by 10:30am at Student Union.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 26, 2022
● Registration Kickoff; 11am-1pm; Student Union
o Sign up for an advising appointment for a chance to win a $25 gift card
o Need-to-know info about DACC’s Spring Registration from Advising, Financial Aid, and Foundation
o Spin the Wheel for prizes
o Free DACC T-shirts for the first 10 people to make a spring registration appointment! After that, all participants entered in a drawing for a $25 gift card.
● DACC’s Annual Chili Cookoff; 11:30am-12:30pm; Student Union
o Students are invited to try the staff’s chili recipes and vote on their favorite!
o Free food, music, and more!
o Chili will be served on a first come-first serve basis, until supplies run out.

● Pumpkin Pickup; 12-2pm; LH-109
o DACC Spirit Week’s Pumpkin Decorating Contest – Paint – Carve – Get Creative!
o A limited supply of pumpkins will be available for pickup. After supplies run out, it is “BYOP” – bring your own pumpkin!
o Pumpkins due Monday, October 31 by 10:30 a.m.; LH-109
● DACC PACC Orientation Meeting/Pep Rally; 2pm-3pm; MM-300
o Learn what it takes to join DACC’s Student Athletics fan section. Free food.
