Potterfest in Downtown Danville is 5 to 9 PM Friday night, November 4th. Ashton Greer and Bailey Poggendorf joined Tommy B on D102’s The Big Show with some final reminders. As Ashton Greer advised everyone, another big crowd is expected, so get there early if you can. This year’s Potterfest theme is the fourth movie, The Goblet of Fire, which not coincidentally, is being shown at the Fischer.
AUDIO: The roads will be closed downtown, so come down a little early and get parked in the parking garage or one of the lots. Temple Plaza is where you’ll start the night. A bunch of people are going to be set up there passing out maps, which will show you exactly where to go and what to do, and exactly where everything is located. There’s a scavenger hunt form, which you’ll have the whole night from 5 to 9 PM to stop at different places, find the items, fill in your form, and then turn it in at the Fischer Theater.
Bailey Poggendorf reminds us, don’t forget the Danville Public Library.
AUDIO: They’ve got a really cool walk through set up in there. So, I would say that the Danville Library is going to be one of the places to absolutely hit.
A couple things we should add: if you want to be in the costume contest, co-sponored by Vermilion Advantage and the Commercial-News, get to Temple Plaza to register at 5:30. It starts at six. And if you want to show off your Harry Potter knowledge, get to Sweet Repeats to register for the Trivia contest by 6. That starts at 6:30.
