As we get closer to Thanksgiving, and since Veterans Day officially got us into the annual Red Kettle Campaign, the Salvation Army’s Melissa Wilhelm recently explained to Tommy B on D102’s The Big Show that you can sign up yourself, or even your whole family when it comes to helping with the bell ringing.
AUDIO: Best thing to do is go to registertoring.com; and you can sign up right there. You can sign up as a group, you can sign up as a family, you can sign up as an individual. Please let us know when you do that how many people are coming with you. You know, if you’re bringing your family, so can make sure we have enough bells for you when you get there.

And any youngster who wants to get involved, all they need is somebody with them.
AUDIO: If they’re 17 and under, and they have an adult with them, kids can ring bells as well. I get this question all the time. So, absolutely; boy scouts, girls scouts, any type of youth organization, absolutely sign up to right bells as well, we would love that. Our top bell ringer in Champaign County, 12 years old last year.
And remember, you’ll find a sign at the top of each kettle on how you can make a cashless, digital donation.
