THE FOLLOWING IS A DANVILLE ROTARY RELEASE
VERMILION COUNTY, IL — Annie Monyok has been named the winner of the 2022 Vocational Service Award in the category of under 40. Monyok is a graduate of Catlin High School and still resides there with her husband and two sons. Monyok is the owner of Monyok Leadership.
Since high school, Monyok has been dedicated to her community. She started dating her now husband, George, when she was a sophomore in high school. She attended school in Iowa, got engaged as a junior, and the young couple started making plans for their future. “l never envisioned living anywhere else. The blueprint wasn’t anywhere else. Catlin is home — it’s really that simple.”
While Annie had job offers in other communities, she turned them down to stay close to her family and friends. “I knew that I could make a difference here. I wanted to raise my family here and give back to the community that has given me so much.”
Rotary president Haley Siefert says it was not difficult at all to select Annie Monyok for this award.
