Nearly $14,000 in donations were made on Giving Tuesday alone to the Danville Library Foundation. Danville Public Library Executive Director Jennifer Hess says a wonderful thing about these donations is how library patrons can make them in someone’s memory.
AUDIO: What I love about it is that people are giving in memory or in honor of a loved one. I think that means a lot for the library, the idea of giving through different generations, and keeping memories alive. It’s really sweet.
Neuhoff Media’s Mike Hulvey took a turn reading during Giving Tuesday activities at the Danville Public Library, and Danville Library Foundation Executive Director Peter Blackmon also enjoyed addressing the crowd.
