A rural family physician from Camargo has announced plans to run for the 15th District Congressional seat currently held by Representative John Shimkus. Dr. Charles Ellington has his medical practice based in Arthur. He is also a licensed attorney and assistant professor of Family and Community Medicine and says he is a health policy expert. And Dr. Ellington says his background and knowledge makes him uniquely suited to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Dr. Ellington says he has developed a strong conviction that all life is valuable, even the unborn, and that the second amendment guarantees responsible gun ownership. He says he is a proud member of the NRA (National Rifle Association).
Ellington and his wife, Anita, have two sons – 15-year-old Gunner and 12-year-old Jericho.
