A Ruler Food Store along North Griffin Street in Danville has re-opened following a small fire on Sunday (October 27, 2019). The fire broke out Sunday morning in an area where charcoal is sold.
Some customers alerted store employees about the fire, and one employee attempted to extinguish the blaze with a fire extinguisher before firefighters arrived. The damage was contained to one small area of the building.
Although some employees said they think the fire may have been deliberately set by someone setting some paper towels on fire…the cause of the blaze remained under investigation.
There were no injuries. (**Note: You can enlarge the photos by clicking on them.)
