The Illinois Gaming Board has received application materials for five new casinos – including the new Danville Casino & Resort. The City of Danville and Haven Gaming, LLC met Monday’s deadline to submit materials requesting a gaming license.
In addition to Danville, the City of Waukegan, City of Rockford, Williamson County, and some municipalities which collectively are known as ‘’the South Suburbs’’ in the Chicago area, also submitted application materials for a gaming license.
‘’The Illinois Gaming Board thanks the host communities for their submitted casino application materials and looks forward to the process of reviewing and assessing all of the documents submitted in an expeditious, ethical, independent and transparent manner,’’ said Gaming Board Administrator Marcus Fruchter. He noted that under the Illinois gaming laws, the Board has up to 12 months to process and determine the eligibility of each applicant.
Haven Gaming, LLC. – formerly Ciela Gaming Corporation LLC. of Las Vegas – is estimating phase one costs will be $118-million, 225-thousand dollars.
