Vermilion Advantage has released an eight minute video promoting Vermilion County as a place to live, a place to work, and a place to enjoy.
It was debuted during the Friday morning (Jan 20th) STEPUP meeting, and Vermilion Advantage CEO Tim Dudley said afterwards that even though the original thought was for a five minute video, that just didn’t work out.
AUDIO: What would you cut out of it? There’s nothing you could cut out of it. It really encapsulates what we wanted to cover in Danville and Vermilion County; we’re really proud of it. We’ve got pieces on our manufacturing. We’ve got pieces on our hospitals. We’ve got pieces on our education. We’ve got pieces on our retail. We’ve got pieces just on people.

District 118 Superintendent Dr. Alicia Geddis spoke to the STEPUP crowd about the new students Federally Qualified Health Center at Danville High School, which will get into full swing seeing patients on Monday, January 30th.
Vermilion Advantage Chamber Director Nicole Van Hyfte says this is a video meant to be shared throughout Vermilion County.
AUDIO: I just hope that people can really take this and use this as a tool for whatever it may be. Whether it’s recruitment or pride; or to be able to show other communities how amazing Vermilion County is.

Also talked about during Friday’s STEPUP meeting was a plan for the City of Danville and Vermilion County to begin a special marketing partnership as one. Nicole Van Hyfte explains.

Vermilion County Board Chairman Larry Baughn, Danville Mayor Rickey Williams, Jr; and Terri White of WhiteSmith Marketing speak during the Friday, January 20th STEPUP meeting at Second Church of Christ in Danville.
AUDIO: All of the community leaders are really working together. I think before we might have been a little siloed in our community. But I think right now those silos have gone down; and we’re all together, and we’re working together. And it’s a great time to show other communities what great things are happening here.
Danville, Vermilion County, Vermilion Advantage, and numerous other entities will be working with WhiteSmith Marketing on this campaign.
