This coming Friday evening is the annual Peer Court Auction at Turtle Run. Peer Court Auctioneer Paul Sermersheim recently joined Tommy B on D102’s The Big Show, reminding all of us the importance of supporting Peer Court, keeping the program going, and what it can do for youngsters.

AUDIO: If a juvenile commits an offense inside Vermilion County, the police or the court system can send them to Peer Court if it’s their first offense. And they agree to have their case heard by a jury of their peers. We have teens that serve as defense and prosecution. And the whole point of the court session is to five them a sentence; which includes community service; apology letters. They come back and serve on the jury.
Doors at Turtle run open at 6 PM this coming Friday evening February 3rd. The silent auction begins right at 6, with the live auction beginning at 7 PM. To hear Tommy B’s entire interview with Paul, go to https://vermilioncountyfirst.com/big-show-bites-podcast/
