About two months from now; on Friday, March 31st; something will be coming to Danville for the first time. The local SHE SAID DANVILLE group will be presenting THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID, sponsored by Carle Health, 7:30 that evening at the Fischer Theater. SHE SAID DANVILLE leader Amanda Crose says this is women up on stage telling seven to ten minute stories that can make you laugh, make you cry, or certainly move you in some way.

AUDIO: We like to joke that we’re a mix of Ted Talks meets Vagina Monologues. We’re the story after the story. You know, you may go to an event; you may go to a party. But it’s the story that happens after the party; that’s what comes out on stage.
Crose says THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID shows have been popular in Champaign for the past ten years. But now they’re expanding to surrounding communities, leading to this stop at the Fischer. Crose says, yes, men can appreciate hearing these stories told up on stage by women. There’s only one qualification.

AUDIO: So this event; it’s for women, it’s run by women; and all those who love and support women are welcome to come. Honestly, it is a powerful night for anyone who sits in the seats at the Fischer Theater.

The roster for the March 31st show is set, but if you’d like more information about getting involved in SHE SAID DANVILLE, or about future THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID shows, go to www.shesaidproject.com. And go to atthefischer.com for show tickets, $35.00 each.
