This coming Wednesday night, February 15th; American Legion Post 210 will be hosting some VA Illiana Health Care staffers to talk about suicide prevention. They will be talking about the SAVE program: Suicide Awareness Voices of Education.
As Post 210 Commander Dave Morris explains; this free Wednesday evening program, starting at 6:30 PM; is meant for Veterans, families of Veterans; and anyone in the community who would like to stop by and learn HOW to spot warning signs, and HOW to become trained to react to them.
AUDIO: We’re open to anybody that wants to come. Now it’s kind of Veteran centered. But it could be just anybody; and it doesn’t necessarily mean somebody wouldn’t notice the same symptoms as a Veteran in somebody else, you know.
Wednesday evening’s program will last about one hour. American Legion Post 210 is at 201 Prospect Place in Danville; right along Jackson Street, next to North Ridge Middle School.
