Vermilion County Coroner Jane McFadden has released the identities of two people who died in recent accidents. She says the victim of a Tuesday (August 6, 2019) accident along Poland Road at State Line Road is 18-year-old Daisy A. Garcia-Hightower of Catlin. She was the driver of a car that was hit broadside at the T intersection.
And the driver of a semi tractor-trailer who died August 1st in a fiery crash along Interstate 74 near Oakwood is 46-year-old Kurt Bergmann of Janesville, Wisconsin.
Both crashes remain under investigation by Illinois State Police and the Vermilion County Coroner’s Office.
