After closing last year with the move of all inventory to the Champaign store, the old Fagen Auto Parts building at the North Vermilion and Liberty Lane northwest corner has now been torn down. Danville Community Development Administrator Logan Cronk says New Lease Development out of Fort Worth, Texas should be starting on their two planned businesses for that corner sometime very soon.
AUDIO: (They’re) pretty much ready to go. They can start construction whenever they’re ready. I’m assuming whenever the weather gets warmed up we’ll probably see some pretty quick action and construction on that site. If I were to take a guess, it’ll probably be in the springtime that you’ll see some buildings going up there.
New Lease Development plans on operating a 7-Brew drive-thru coffee shop and a Take 5 oil change facility; on Fagen Auto Parts’ old location.
