ABOVE: March 27th anti-abortion rally across the street from the old Dillman Eye Care building.
The packet for the Tuesday night (April 25th) Danville City Council Public Services Committee meeting includes a description for a proposed ordinance in response to the planned relocation of an Indiana Women’s Clinic that would offer abortions at the old Dillman Eye Care building at 600 North Logan. A March rally protesting the move took place across the street from the old Dillman building.
The proposal would seek to make Danville a “sanctuary city” not permitting abortions by disallowing any person to be “using the mails for the mailing, carriage in the mails, or delivery of any article or thing designed, adapted, or intended for producing an abortion.”
The Public Services Committee meeting is scheduled for 6 PM in the Danville City Council chambers.
