The Danville City Council has approved the creation of a budget for the Downtown Tax Increment Financing District, as well as the creation of the TIF funded redevelopment incentive and loan program.
The Downtown Redevelopment Incentive Program provides financial assistance in the form of a reimbursement for permanent building and site improvements on properties located in Downtown Danville. The loan program is a program that provides financial assistance in the form of no interest loans for building and site improvements on properties located with the downtown TIF district.
Also during Tuesday evening’s Danville City Council meeting the oath of office was also administered to Shelly Scott who is the new City of Danville’s new Comptroller. Scott is taking the place of Gayle Lewis who moved into the newly created Budget Director position.
