(ABOVE) Balloons Over Vermilion’s Carly Goodwin and Pat O’Shaughnessy with Tommy B on D102’s “The Big Show.”
With Balloons Over Vermilion in early July getting close, Pat O’Shaughnessy and Carly Goodwin joined Tommy B on D102’s The Big Show to talk about many things, including what to do if you’d like to volunteer at the event. As O’Shaughnessy explains, they’ve gone from the old days of keeping track of it on a legal pad, to today’s “go to Facebook or BalloonsOverVermilion.com.”

AUDIO: Now it’s so easy. You can go to our website or go to the Facebook page; there’s a link there, and you go to the volunteer sign up page. And you can pick your job. It’s tells you what the job is. You can pick your time; it’ll send you a reminder.
O’Shaughnessy says one of the favorite volunteers jobs would be those helping people out as they drive the golf carts.

AUDIO: We have the inflatables, joyful bubbles, touch-a-truck. We’re going to have a family entertainment stage. We’re having some remote control cars this year. And then Friday only we’re having ziplining, air jumping, and rock wall.
This year’s Balloon’s Over Vermilion is set for Friday, July 7th; and Saturday, July 8th.
