The Vermilion County Coroner’s Office and Danville Police are continuing their investigation into the fatal shooting of two men Monday evening. Police were back on the scene Tuesday at 517 Harvey Street searching for evidence and information in the case.
Coroner Jane McFadden says the victims are Rafael Arevalo and Omar Roman, both 26 from Danville. Both were pronounced dead on the scene. The Coroner says autopsies are scheduled for Wednesday.
Danville Police Commander Joshua Webb says officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 500 block of Harvey at 7:13 p.m. Monday. He says when officers arrived they found the two young victims dead inside the residence. Police immediately sealed off the scene and started interviewing neighbors. Police have not released any information on a possible motive for the double homicide.
