This year’s Little Vermilion Fall Festival is going to include a clean-up day at Ellsworth Park. The City of Danville Parks and Recreation Division and Keep Vermilion County Beautiful are co-sponsoring the clean-up on Saturday, September 16th from 9:00 a.m. until noon.
Volunteers are being sought to remove litter from the banks of the North Fork River and the surrounding park area. City of Danville Park Superintendent Steve Lane says individuals and groups of all ages are encouraged to participate.
Anyone wishing to volunteer should check in at the Pride Grows trailer that will be located just west of the footbridge. Pickers and trash bags will be provided.
The Little Vermilion Fall Festival and Farmers Market starts Friday, September 15th at 10:00 a.m. at Ellsworth Park. It runs through Sunday featuring assorted crafts, a flea market, bands, bingo, mud volleyball, a car show and other activities.
