Former Danville mayor and current Rantoul Village Administrator Scott Eisenhauer was arraigned in Champaign County Court Tuesday (June 13th) afternoon on two charges of Domestic Battery; in connection with an arrest at his Rantoul home on Monday evening, June 12th.
Eisenhauer was released on his own recognizance and given a court date of June 27th.
Rantoul Police handed the case over to the Champaign County Sheriff’s Department following Eisenhauer’s arrest. Rantoul mayor Charles Smith later released a statement stating that Eisenhauer has been placed on administrative leave. Eisenhauer has served as Rantoul Village Administrator since 2018.
