THE FOLLOWING IS A PROJECT SUCCESS RELEASE
Following is a highlight from our Georgetown-Ridge Farm High School Project Success program. The attached photo is of Mrs. Daily (GRHS & Project Success Teacher) on the left and Michelle Brooks (Project Success GRHS Site Coordinator) on the right. This was taken at the Georgetown-Ridge Farm Summer Bash event in May.Betsy Daily is named GRHS Project Success’s Real Life Hero of the Year! Every year Mrs. Daily makes a dramatic impact on all of our students and families. She single handedly helped 10 GRHS students graduate this year! Some of these students were extremely behind on credits. Mrs. Daily took it upon herself to reach out to each and every one of them. She worked with them everyday (beyond regular hours) pushing them to be successful. She worked with their families, friends and peers to help motivate and hold them accountable.
She worked hand in hand with their school day teachers and administrators to help them accomplish their dreams. We even had a student who did not finish her last class until 20 minutes before she was expected to walk for graduation. Mrs. Daily stayed by her side until she finished the class and then cheered her on as she received her diploma. You can ask any student at GRHS who pushes them the hardest and they will say Mrs. Daily. You can walk down the streets of this community and ask any parent about Mrs. Daily and they will tell you that she has made a difference in their students’ lives. She is a true hero and we are blessed to have her as a Project Success teacher! – Submitted by Michelle Brooks, GRHS Project Success Site Coordinator
