Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrup is releasing the name of a Georgetown,
Illinois man who has died after being involved in a two vehicle
crash in the Village of Tilton, Illinois on September 19, 2017.
Chad A. Lanham, 38, was pronounced dead at Carle Foundation
Hospital in Urbana at 2:50 PM on September 20, 2017 as a result
of injuries he received from the incident. Mr. Lanham was
reportedly a passenger of a vehicle that struck the rear end of a
Jeep in an intersection.
No autopsy will be performed, although an inquest may be held at
a later date. This death is being investigated by the Champaign
County Coroner’s Office and the Tilton Police Department.
