Toledo, OH native Teresa “Tess” Cook recently arrived from Lexington, KY as the newly hired Vermilion Regional Airport manager. She says the community itself attracted her to the area, as well as the airport.
AUDIO: I just really love the community around here. There’s so much going on at the airport, and I think it’s a beautiful, well kept airport. We have a lot of projects going on to keep it more beautiful, and to make it better.
Cook says she sees the airport continuing to operate as it currently does, as the top projects being focused on are of the physical nature.
AUDIO: Lots of pavement improvement projects. We’re working with CMT to fix the Alpha Runway, that’s our main project going on right now.
And very soon, Tess Cook will have her first time serving as Vermilion Regional Airport manager while Balloons Over Vermilion is going on. She says, all is looking good.
AUDIO: We’ll I’ve actually already been introduced. I have met all of the people. We have our passes. We have hanger passes for all of our tenants. It’s going on really well from what I can tell. They seem to have everything under control, and they’re very coordinated.
Balloons Over Vermilion will be Friday, July 7th and Saturday, July 8th.
