The East Central Illinois Community Action Agency has announced plans for the second round of assistance through the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (known as LIHEAP). The agency will begin accepting applications on Wednesday, November 1st, 2017 for the group which consists of eligible households with children under the age of six, and those households who are disconnected from their energy provider.
Appointments will be accepted at the East Central Illinois Community Action Agency Office at 56 North Vermilion Street in Danville beginning on November 1st.
You must take certain items with you to your appointment including:
- Current power/gas or propane bill;
- Verification of disability income or documented disability; if applicable;
- Verification of the applicable child’s age;
- If you do not have any income, you must provide written verification of how you meet your household needs and verification of residency;
- Social Security cards for everyone in residence;
- Ren receipt or lease. If Section 8, a verification of rent letter is required.
