A Danville man who is facing murder charges in a weekend shooting claims he is innocent. Twenty-six year old Marcus Carter appeared for his initial court appearance Monday before Judge Derek Girton. The judge set Carter’s bond at $5-million dollars after the defendant entered not guilty pleas.
Carter (shown here) is charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. The charges stem from the Sunday morning shooting of 35-year-old Lucas W. Stark at a home in the 700 block of Florida Street. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for early next month.
