The Vermilion County Coroner’s Office has identified the two victims in Saturday morning’s single vehicle crash near the Georgetown Fair Grounds as two Westville residents: 77-year-old Janice M. Harden, and three-year-old Ella M. Thompson. Autopsies are scheduled for this week, and the cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Illinois State Police and Vermilion County Coroner’s Office.

Authorities have confirmed that two lives were lost when a vehicle crashed into an Ameren natural gas substation, Saturday ( July 15th) morning around 8 AM at Mills and Seminary in Georgetown, near the Georgetown Fair Grounds.
The accident and fire at the substation caused Mills Street to be closed for several hours, along with the shut down of natural gas for the city of Georgetown.
More information is to be released later by the Illinois State Police.
