State Representative Adam Niemerg says: ‘’Make no mistake, we have a long way to go in Illinois,’’ but adds, ‘’we are making progress.’’ The rural Dieterich Republican has announced he plans to seek re-election in Illinois 102nd House District. The district includes all or parts of Vermilion, Edgar, Champaign, Coles, Clark, Crawford, Cumberland, Jasper, Lawrence and Effingham counties.
Niemerg says that while there is undoubtedly a long way to go to transform the state of Illinois, he is encouraged by the strength of the conservative grassroots movement.
Niemerg adds he is proud to be a founding member of the Illinois Freedom Caucus, where he says they hold Democrats and Republicans accountable for their actions. ‘’The grassroots, conservative movement is just starting, and we are growing expectantly,’’ said Niemerg. He said he is running for State Representative again because he wants to build on that momentum.
Niemerg is a Teutopolis native who resides in rural Dieterich with his wife, Trina, and two children.
