The CRIS Healthy Aging Center in Danville is inviting senior citizens to stop by during its Medicare Open Enrollment Days. CRIS is hosting Medicare Open Enrollment meetings for senior citizens at several locations around the county. The next meeting is today (Friday, November third) , from 1:00 until 3:30 p.m. at the Public Library in Potomac. Two other Medicare open enrollment sessions will also be held in the northern part of the county. They will be held:
- On Tuesday, November 7th at the Hoopeston Multi-Agency from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m.; and
- On Friday, November 17th at the Hoopeston Public Library from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
No appointment is necessary during the free walk-up sessions. CRIS Healthy Agency CEO Amy Brown says a Senior Information Specialist will also be on hand at the CRIS Center (at 309 Franklin Street) in Danville to assist seniors in evaluating their options on several other days. Those open sessions are scheduled from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 9th….Monday, November 13th…Thursday, November 16th…Monday, November 20th, and Friday, December 1st.
The walk-in days are first-come, first-served, so interested seniors are advised to come as early in the month and day as possible.
