It is the time of year we give thanks to those who serve in America’s Armed Forces. And last evening (November 8, 2017) more than 50 Veterans from the VA Illiana Health Care System in Danville received a special ‘thank-you’ at Meade Park Elementary School.
The Vets were treated to a free home-made meal, entertainment and games by members of the staff at the school. Principal Chris Rice says it has become an annual tradition…
And how does Rice feel about being able to do it for the Veterans?..
The staff members cooked the food because they wanted to make sure the Veterans were treated to a home-cooked meal.
