ABOVE: Manager Tess Cook at Vermilion Regional Airport
Once upon a time it was Cheeseburger Night at Kennekuk County Park. But this Saturday August 5th, Cheeseburger Day will run 9 AM to 5 PM at Vermilion Regional Airport. Airport manager Tess Cook recently joined Tommy B on D102’s The Big Show. She pointed out that in addition to great food, Cheeseburger Day is all about coming out and seeing some amazing vehicles on the airport grounds.
AUDIO: There will be a lot of cool cars; military vehicles, fire and EMS equipment. Even some classic tractors, and airplane rides in a vintage WWII 600 HP Advance Trainer.
That World War II plane will be on display when it’s not flying. A full 30 minute flight in that classic plane will be available for $400, and remember all of the Cheeseburger Day proceeds go to Mission K-9 for Veterans. By the way, an AMS rescue helicopter will be on display as well. Once again, that’s Cheeseburger Day at Vermilion Regional Airport, 9 to 5 this Saturday, August 5th.
