Illinois State Police and the Vermilion County Coroner have released the name of a man who died on Friday, December 1st, in a crash along Interstate 74. They say the victim is 51-year-old Timothy Partin of Oakwood.
State Police say their preliminary investigation found that Partin’s pickup truck was traveling westbound near the route 49 exit (at mile post 200) when the driver lost control for some unknown reason. The vehicle left the road and rolled, coming to a rest in the median on its roof.
Partin was pronounced dead after the crash. A passenger, 51-year-old Jeffrey Crow of Oakwood, was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Troopers say both men were wearing seat belts when the crash occurred at 11:41 a.m.
