Some local motorists got a surprise today when they were stopped by Danville Police. Instead of handing out tickets, the officers were giving away cash!!
The Danville Police Benevolent and Protective Association gave each person stopped at random a $100 bill to help with Christmas.

Holly Banks was one of those who received some of the cash, and she was driven to tears…

A total of 30 people were each given a $100 bill during the traffic stops. In these photos Police Patrolman Troy Nipper surprises motorists with cash and gets some hugs in return.
