Motorists who travel along Voorhees Street and use a bridge over Stoney Creek in Danville will need to take a detour starting on Tuesday (July 24, 2018). Voorhees Street west of Collett Street and east of Washington Street is scheduled to be closed for replacement of the bridge.
Voorhees Street in that area is expected to remain closed the rest of this year. Traffic will be detoured to Fairchild Street.
Stark Excavating of Bloomington is the contractor selected to replace the bridge at a cost of $1.6 million dollars.
