Police in Danville are probing two armed robberies. The latest incident involved a Papa John’s Pizza employee who was robbed shortly before 10 o’clock Tuesday night (August 7, 2018). The robbery occurred in the 1000 block of Giddings Street, according to Danville Police Commander Joshua Webb. He says the victim told police she was robbed by two black males. One of them was armed with a knife as food and money was taken from the victim. There were no injuries.
The first suspect was described as being around six-feet-two-inches tall and wearing jeans but no shirt. The second suspect was described as being around five-feet-nine-inches tall wearing a black shirt and jeans with his hair in braids.
Danville Police told VermilionCountyFirst.com News they are also looking for two suspects in connection with a Monday evening armed robbery. An 18-year-old man from Terre Haute told police he was robbed at Winter Park (in the 900 block of East Winter.) The victim in that incident told police he was robbed by two males – and that one of them displayed a handgun. The victim says he turned several items over to the robbers including his backpack and cell phone.
