During the 8 pm hour last night Danville Firefighters were called to a packing warehouse of Mervis Industries on reports of activation of the sprinkler system there. Once they were able to get thru the smoke-filled building they were able to extinguish a fire that had, according to one firefighter, been well-contained by the sprinklers.
There were no injuries and no estimate of damages to the recyclable materials involved as of this morning.
