PSAs – Upcoming events at Danville Public Library – December 3 – December 9, 2023
December 4: Teen Movie Mondays. Every Monday we will show a movie in Teen Zone and have popcorn! Teens can suggest and vote on which movie we watch. 4 – 6 PM.
December 5: Teen Tabletop Tuesdays. Stop by the Teen Zone on Tuesdays to play board/card games and eat snacks! Tuesdays from 4-6PM in the Teen Zone.
December 5: Tween It! Tuesdays. Fun programs for tweens each Tuesday. This week: Board Game Night. Play your favorite game with your friends. 4:30 PM in the Children’s Room. Ages 8-12.
December 5: Wee Wigglers Story Time. Join us for action rhymes, stories, and songs for children ages 5 and under. Tuesdays at 10:00 AM in the 1st Floor Meeting Room.
December 6: The Consult. An opportunity for your business to get advice over coffee from a consortium of business leaders; both current and retired, willing to share their knowledge. People from all over the business community are inviting you to engage them for advice in a relaxed atmosphere. No pressure, no sales pitch, just a resource for you to access, absolutely free. Starts at 8:00 a.m. in the 1st Floor Meeting Room.
December 6: Dungeons & Dragons. A tabletop role-playing game that allows teens to quest for treasures and fame, or at the very least hunt enemies. This program is for teens, both those who are new to the game and those who already know the best way to cleave an orc. New players always welcome! Wednesdays at 4:00 PM in the Teen Zone.
December 6: Rainbow Readers Playgroup. Socialization, play and STEAM activities for toddlers. 10 AM- 11 AM. 1st Floor Meeting Room.
December 7: Anything Tech for Teens.Introducing teens to some of the library’s cool technology, including 3D Printing, 3D Pens, Sphero Balls, Cricut, and a Flight Simulator. Thursdays at 4:00 PM in the Teen Zone.
December 9: Children’s Saturday Movie Matinee. Join us for a family-friendly movie in the Children’s Room every Saturday at noon. Children and Tweens welcome!
December 9: Hear It, See It, Make It, Take It: Sensory Story Time. Sensory program designed for youth of various ability levels including differently-abled youth. Saturdays at 11 a.m. in the 1st Floor Meeting Room.
December 9: Monthly Mystery Movie. Join us for our Monthly Mystery Movie in the 1st Floor Conference Room at 6:30 pm for a FREE holiday film! In this 1994 film, a man inadvertently makes Santa fall off his roof on Christmas Eve and finds himself magically recruited to take his place. Doors open at 6 pm. Popcorn and hot chocolate are available via free-will donation.
StoryWalk®: Enjoy a quiet walk and read a book! Pete the Cat Saves Christmas by Eric Litwin on our back (South) windows. (The side facing Madison St.)
Teen Craft: For the month of December, the teen craft will be to make ornaments to decorate our Teen Zone Christmas Tree, or your own tree at home! Stop by anytime during the month of December to make one. 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. daily in the Teen Zone.
Weekly Crafts. Drop by for fun crafts in the children’s department. Available Monday through Thursday starting at 9am-6:30pm and Fri-Sat 9am-2:30pm. New craft each week! This week: Make a tree ornament.
