A tree planting and litter clean-up will be part of the activities Saturday (September 15th) at the Vermilion River Fall Festival and Farmers Market in Danville. The City of Danville Parks and Recreation Division and Keep Vermilion County Beautiful are encouraging individuals and groups of all ages to participate.
Volunteers should check-in at the Pride Grows trailer that will be located just west of the footbridge at Ellsworth Park. The tree planting and clean-up will be taking place between 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Saturday.
Shovels, pickers and trash bags will be provided but volunteers are encouraged to bring their own tools if they wish, according to Parks Superintendent Steve Lane.
