A Danville teacher who is facing charges of criminal sexual assault has been terminated from her job pending a formal dismissal hearing. The District 118 School Board voted unanimously to terminate the employment of 28-year-old Chelsea Robinson. She was recently indicted on charges of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student.
School Board President Bill Dobbles told VermilionCountyFirst.com News that Robinson could still ask for a formal hearing….
Of course all criminal defendants are presumed to be innocent pending further court action. Robinson has been working as a special education teacher at Danville High School. She has pleaded not guilty to three counts of criminal sexual assault by a person in a position of trust.
