In addition to the fatal shooting that occurred in Danville Saturday evening, police and other emergency personnel were busy in our area responding to other calls. Some of those calls included:
- A home invasion in the 900 block of Hubbard Lane in Danville early Sunday morning;
- An armed robbery involving a 28-year-old victim who reported being robbed in the 400 block of Townsend Street. The robbery occurred shortly before 2:30 Saturday morning.
- Two reports of aggravated discharge of firearms;
- A report of aggravated unlawful use of weapons and aggravated domestic battery in the 900 block of Belton early Saturday. A 31-year-old woman was arrested in that incident.
- Danville Police also continue their investigations into an alleged aggravated battery to a child that was reported on Friday (September 14th, 2018).
- A criminal sexual abuse complaint was also made to Vermilion County Sheriff’s Police Friday evening.
Those are just a few of the many calls that kept police and other emergency services busy over the weekend.
